Model and photographer/graphic artist needed

Dear Colleagues

Phoenix Piek designer of noted jewellery label AGALIA  in conjunction with Maritima Inc and myself is searching for a model and photographer to showcase her latest jewellery for an advertisement photo promotional campaign in Modavia and Avenue magazine.

This is a paid position where the model will recieve 2500 L and the photographer 2500L for the sum total of their work in producing a photo marketing campaign to feature AGALIA `s new collection ( the shoulder pads featured in sample below will be one of the items required to be showcased in the photos) Alternatively the photographer may also be the model or vice-a-versa and will be paid a gross payment of 5000L

This is a very prestigious label and has been featured numerous times in blogs, magazines and showcased in runway style challenges. Agalia has managed to keep her uniqueness and boutique appeal avoiding mainstrem malaise while at the same time establishing itself as one of the most sought after jewellery labels in SL

The closing date for the entry will be midnight saturday 23/10/10

At which point final selections will be made.

INSTRUCTIONS for PHOTOGRAPHERS  or PHOTOGRAPHIC MODELS 

If you are applying for the photographer or the joint Photographer/Model position featuring yourself please follow below instructions

- Please send at least one full perm 1024x1024  photograph highlighting how you intend to showcase the jewellery to its best effect. It is preferable to wear AGALIA jewellery in the photo but not a prerequiste or compulsory, You may send additional photos that best showcase your work in this context

-Please send to me emanuelle Courtois with your name labelled on the photograph texture  in the form of  ( Agalia Photographer --------NAME ) or alternatively you may attach the textures to a named NC

- You may use whatever editing tools are at your disposal and be as creative as you like

- PLEASE COME TO AGALIA MAIN STORE TO STUDY THE DESIGNS so that you are aware of the character, composition and nature of the photographs as well viewing the Photo below.

The three main categories for judging will be:

* FOCUS of the photos on the designs themselves (are there too many distractions taking away from that focus? can you clearly see the jewellery in the photo? etc)

* LOOK and styling of the model (did they use carefully considered lighting, pose, angles, accessories, hair, etc when creating the photo?)

* QUALITY and composition of photography (Photo processing and artistic additions to the photos are accepted and encouraged, but alterations to the integrity of the basic design or color of the clothing should not be made in processing the photos.)

If you are applying for the just the model position and do not feel confident in your abilities to use photoediting tools  please follow below instructions

- Please style yourself in something which best highlights how you would showcase jewellery and select one pose that enhances your look

- Its is preferable to wear AGALIA jewellery but not compulsory , I am mainly interested in how you highlight jewellery and style content. The model if selected will be given the jewellery she will be required to model for the ad campaigns

- There will be no set casting time for this.

Instead please IM me when you are ready to showcase your look so that i may examine and study you. I will then TP  you to Maritima or my secret garden of doom! and evaluate you. If you do not get a reply from me please continue to IM me .

The Contest this year will be run by Naiya Kazyanenko the House of Beningborough Events  Manager and Darkevilone Demonia , CEO of Evane Agency. who will oversee the model auditions and choose 2-5 models each month to become FOB finalists and receive FOB Finalist tags. These models will go forward to the FOB Finalists show to be held in January 2011 where we will crown our winner

Hi again!

Final post in the new designers series. This time about Maylee Oh's Secret Store. Maylee started designing clothes not long ago and her store is still confidential but i'm pretty certain it's going to become one of SL's favs. Low prices for high quality items is a rarity in SL an that's just what The Secret Store has to offer.
Outfit no1 (starting from left) is Electric Stripes. A combination of classic, flex and sculpt techniques for a very cute little dress to be worn on all occasions. Great with boots such as the HOB noir boots here.
The second outfit is one of my favorites in my whole inventory. The Cookie Rain comes in various patterns for both top and skirt and you can mix and match for always great results. The one presented here is the Full Chocolate version with Argave's leather boots in Ivory.
Finally comes the Fresh Blueberry corset with a highly detailed texture and sculpt zipper.

Hello!

Second post on my new designers series. This one about Meghindo's. If you TP to Meghindo Romano's store, you'll be amazed to see the huge choice in quality outfits. When you get there, don't pass on the higher storeys, as every floor is packed with fantastic items. It took me one hour just to choose which outift I would present in this post!
First from left is Lucia short dress. Amazing texture for this classy yet sexy dress. Stunning!
Second is Noemie Long Dress. Great for a formal night out. I enhanced the cleavage by wearing Glow Studios' Baked Steel Necklace.
Before going on to the third outfit, I have to tell you all Meghindo's evening dresses come with a long and a short dress versions to suit your mood.
Last item here is the Proof Beach see through dress. Wasn't sure about posting this one, because you've now all seen me almost naked. But, come on... I just HAD to show you this! Fabulous texture with silver linings. I was first thinking of wearing accessories and jewelry for this shoot, because I thought the whole thing wouldn't look "dressed" enough, but in the end, the dress speaks for itself: I'm showing my boobs to eveyone, and yet, I feel classy and elegant.

Hello Everyone!

Sorry for being away from SL model case for a while, but I have been really busy with the BCA Fair for a Pair. So, I have loads to catch up with! This is the first post of a series of three about new talented designers. Second Life is full of unknown designers with a huge sense for styling, and it's really worth looking around for them.
My first designer here is Rui Muhindra, whose store "muhi" is not exactly unknown. Rui is a highly talented designer who masters all types of clothing techniques. I especially like her work with sculpts.
The first outfit on the left is the Serena Dress. Dark chocolate texture and a high collar makes it a perfect dress for this mid-season feel. A touch of shine with Bax's iconic Prestige Boots in silver to lighten up, and you're set for this year's fall!
Second outfit is the Asymetrical Body Suit. State-of -the-art sculpt work for this creative outfit. Works really well with Muhi's Sculpted Socks with Raw Gems and R2 Kaimana shoes.

Fourth Phase, October

The fourth phase of MISS BLISS COUTURE 2011 starts on October the 1st and ends on October the 15th.

Only two months left to enter the couture house's beauty pageant of the year that will crown one lucky lady as Face of Bliss Couture.

And this is the time again to announce the finalists of the past month. Due to the high number of applications, the talent shown in the styling and the beautiful images, it's not been easy to select only a few, but these are our favourites:

But the model search has just started and if you think you have the numbers to win don't miss this amazing opportunity.

We are looking for a lady with a natural sense of style and an outstanding presence to represent the essence of our brand. We strongly encourage all the fashion and couture lovers, mannequins or new faces, to enter our pageant.

The 2011 edition aims to provide an incredible chance for our contestants, and we would like to invite you to carefully follow the instructions so that your application will be eligible for the MISS BLISS COUTURE 2011's model search.

You can send your application from friday October the 1st to friday October the 15th as better explained here.

The winner will be crown as MISS BLISS COUTURE 2011 with an exclusive diamond jewelry set by Virtual Impressions. She will be the face of the couture's house in the next year, she will be given all future luxury brand releases throughout her reign (one year), awarded with a 30.000L prize and will also receive an invitation to Boulevard Agency and an interview for BOSL Magazine.

The top 10 finalists will receive a professional photoshoot, and their choice of any one fatpack of a new release Bliss Couture dress or outfit.

The top 5 finalists will all become Bliss Couture models, and be hired for various modeling work within the company. In addition to the prizes for the top 10, the top 5 girls will also each receive a $5000L gift card from Bliss Couture.
