Modavia Productions Announces Line-up for Fashion Week (September 9-16, 2010)

July 30, 2010 – Modavia Productions, the fashion show production division of Modavia Fashion Marketing, today announced the line-up of designers participating in the Modavia Fashion Week 2010 event. This week of fashion shows will feature a preview of the new Fall collections from some of SL's very best labels. Fashion Week 2010 is sponsored by LeLutka and supported by media partners Deja Vu International Magazine and Wilder Public Relations. As in previous years the event will also be supported by treet.tv.

This is the second Fashion Week produced by Modavia and, as in 2009, will be held in conjunction with the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week taking place in New York City at the same time. The event last year, set in Bryant Park SL, was well attended and attracted an unprecedented level of media coverage.

A broad range of men’s and women’s fashion designs including couture, formal, casual, and lingerie will be showcased. Shows will begin on September 9 and run through September 16. A total of 35 designers will be represented in Modavia Fashion Week 2010 in 4 to 5 shows daily, beginning at noon SLT at a new Modavia owned, purpose built multi-sim venue. In addition to the fashion shows, participating designers will have on-site boutiques selling the designs seen in their shows, and there will be exclusive gifts offered to attendees by many of the designers and sponsors.

MODAVIA DESIGNER WARDROBE GIVEAWAY - SL's Biggest Couture Prize

21 May 2010 - Modavia, publisher of the Modavia Fashion Directory, has announced a new initiative to promote the Designer Wardrobe Giveaway event.  In order to improve access to the contest Modavia, in conjunction with Alexander Fine Jewelry, will hold a grid-wide raffle in order to award the grand prize of 100 recent season designs from the 14th and 15th editions of the Modavia Fashion Directory.

Subscribers to the Directory can teleport to one of 4 sites on the grid to enter the raffle. Our thanks go to Sissy Pessoa, Applonia Criss, AvaGardner Kungler and Alatiel Malies for acting as hosts for this Giveaway.  Also thanks to TommyLee Nightfire for creating the Giveaway video which showcases some highlights of the prize at each of the raffle entry points.

The winners of the two wardrobes will be announced on 30th May 2010.

Modavia Fashion Marketing - Spring Casting.

10th April, 2010 - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE.

Modavia Fashion Marketing is pleased to announce the Spring Casting to add new male and female Supermodels to its team. The Supermodels will represent Modavia not only in the Modavia Fashion Directory, but in all its productions and related projects.

The casting consists of three stages:

1) The first step to apply is preparing two photographs following the theme and the instructions given in this notecard;

2) In the second stage, 50 models will be chosen from all the applicants. They will be divided into two groups and sent a personal invitation with all the details for a runway audition, which will be held on Sunday, May the 9th at 12 PM and 1 PM SLT;

3) For the finals, 20 models will be invited to participate in a casting on Sunday, May the 16th at 12 PM SLT.

After this, FIVE new models will be invited to join the Modavia Supermodels Group.

NOTE: we will not reschedule the dates shown above to suit individual models. No exceptions. Therefore, if you are interested in joining this casting, please mark down those dates in your calendar and be sure of your availability to attend.

Moreover, those who pass through the single stages of this casting will receive a personal invitation to the next step, and there will not be any public announcement in Modavia groups. So please don't ask any Modavia Staff about casting decisions, you will get to know about it if you receive the invitation.

To apply for the casting:

1. Conditions to join:
- You must be at least 6 months old in SL
- Minimum level of English is necessary
- You must be an experienced model

2. Join Modavia Prospective Models group (unless already a member of a Modavia group). All Modavia groups will receive the same casting notices.

3.  Insert ONE headshot and ONE full body shot into this note card.  Please place YOUR NAME on each texture before inserting into the notecard and make sure that they are FULL PERM.  Please note that applications with more than TWO photographs will be automatically disqualified.

4. The theme for this casting is "Paris In The Springtime" - inspired by the Cole Porter song. The key words are Springtime, elegance, and a style reminiscent of Parisian couture.  You will be judged on how you interpret this theme and how you style your look accordingly.  We are looking for unique male and female models with a flair for fabulous styling.
